The world of archaeology is experiencing a true digital revolution. Thanks to the most advanced technologies, it is now possible to reconstruct and document archaeological sites with a level of detail never achieved before.
3D TARGET, in collaboration with Fabricalab.eu, brought this innovation to the Luni National Archaeological Park, using the Leica BLK2FLY autonomous flying laser scanner.
The project in detail
Our team of experts worked hand in hand with Fabricalab to map and digitally reconstruct the archaeological park. Using the Leica BLK2FLY, we acquired very high quality 3D point clouds of both the exteriors and interiors of the structures present. This data, integrated with data acquired on the ground using the Leica RTC360 solution, allowed us to create a complete and detailed 3D model of the archaeological site.
